Bisk Education Releases Latest Version of its Popular CPA Review Software
New Research Features Enhance Preparation for CPA Exam
TAMPA, Fla. (February 6, 2009) – They say that practice makes perfect. But when it comes to CPA exam preparation, how you practice makes all the difference. That’s why Bisk CPA Review continues to refine its software to keep pace with the changes students will encounter on the actual CPA exam.
Now in its 12th version, the popular CPA Review software includes enhanced research database functionality that allows students to answer simulation questions in a format that mirrors the CPA exam. The research element of the simulation questions is divided into three steps. First, students receive information about the research question. Next, they conduct their search for the proper authoritative literature response. And finally, they will select answers by simply clicking on radio buttons for their chosen answers.
“The simulation-type questions on the CPA exam typically create the most anxiety among students. This powerful software update is an ideal way to practice until you’re comfortable with that format,” said Valerie Wendt, Product Manager for Bisk CPA Review.
An updated tutorial also provides step-by-step instructions on how to maneuver through simulation questions, Wendt noted.
Additionally, version 12 contains a revised layout of the text and questions while in study mode, allowing for improved navigation and knowledge retention. Study questions continue to provide instant feedback on whether an answer is correct or incorrect.
The custom exam feature has also been enhanced to provide candidates with the ability to create a custom exam from their marked questions. Another improvement involves the statistical reporting tool, which now provides weights based on either AICPA or Bisk statistics. Candidates also have the option to view statistics from their most recent attempt at Diagnostic Exams, Custom Exams and Final Exams.
