Arkansas CPA Exam Requirements
Before you can sit for the CPA exam in Arkansas, you must first meet the Arkansas CPA requirements established by the state board. These requirements ensure you have the necessary foundation in accounting, business courses, and ethics.
Educational Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution.
- 30 semester hours of upper-level accounting courses and 30 hours in business courses other than accounting. These may include financial accounting, management accounting, federal taxation, auditing, not-for-profit accounting, and accounting information systems.
- Each accounting or business component course must be completed with a minimum grade of C or above.

Scheduling for the CPA Exam in Arkansas
Once your application is approved, you’ll receive a Notice to Schedule (NTS) from the Board of Accountancy. The NTS is valid for one testing event or six months—whichever comes first.

Preparing for the Arkansas CPA Exam
